The Opportunity of the Irish EU Presidency
From July – December 2026, Ireland will hold the Presidency of the Council of the European Union. This political window offers a unique opportunity to position grounded, farmer-led solutions at the center of the European dialogue on the post-2027 Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) reform and the EU Strategic Agenda.The ECVC General Assembly will gather agricultural practitioners from diverse European territories in Ireland in November. Talamh Beo aims to highlight the importance of exchange, networking and peer to peer learning with others as we build capacity to make the necessary changes on our farms and in our fields. Meeting with other farmers engaged in Agroecology from across Europe can help build a broader movement for change which centres Agroecology and Farming with Nature across the continent.
