Farm walks are an exciting day out for the participants of the EIP Soil Diversity Project and the public. It allowed the participants to discuss the different areas of their farm and also gave them a chance to go through different aspects of Dr. Elaine Ingham’s Launch Your Lab (LYL) educational course together. These farm walks are a great opportunity for interested farmers, citizens, and students to get practical insights and experiences.
The first farm walk in June was held at Tommy’s farm on the shore of Lough Allen. Join us as Tommy talks about rewetting the natural bog on his farm.
The Soil Biodiversity Literacy and Enhancement project is an EIP (European Innovation Partnership) project being administered by The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine. The Project is funded by the EU Recovery Instrument Funding under the Rural Development Programme 2014-2022
